Today we remember the six million people that were killed during the Holocaust and in their memory say ‘Never Again’. I had the honor of visiting Yad Vashem, a large Holocaust museum located in Israel. One of the Israeli soldiers that joined us on our Birthright trip told me that his grandmother witnessed her parents being shot while she was hiding under the floor boards. It pains me to know that this ever happened, which is why we need to not only keep her memory alive, but to make sure something like this never happens again.
